Learn to Swim Scheme
Renfrewshire Leisure operates a successful Learn to Swim programme that has been externally accredited by the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) through their STAmark quality assurance scheme which is a nationally recognised award for service excellence in the safe delivery of swimming lessons.
The Learn to Swim scheme is divided into different levels arranged around a Sea World concept with classes in each level to suit all. The Sea World theme is used to give young people incentives for progression while learning to swim (see level description for further details) via awards for achieving set targets within the appropriate level.
How to Join
Ensure you have read through the level description section of the website so that you can select the right class. Where possible we will try to accommodate you regarding the day and pool you have chosen.
Occasionally places may be available at other pools and these may be offered to you.
Fill out a placement request form online or contact any pool or print off the application form and hand it in to any pool. Registration accepted by phone. For pool contact details click here.
