TSK Scotland practice the ancient martial art of Traditional Shotokan Karate which originated in Japan in the late 19th Century. Karate is a non-aggressive art form of self defence that teaches technique, speed, power and body dynamics. Sensei Pat McLuskey has practiced Karate for over 35 Years. He is recognised by many as one of the greatest Karate exponents of all time. His deep understanding and dynamic technical mastery of the art has seen him travel the world teaching the art. He is regularly invited to instruct at international training courses at some of the world’s leading karate schools. Assistant Chief Instructor, Sensei Jo-Ann Kennedy (4th Dan), was one of Scotland’s youngest female black belts. We are also members of the Shotokan Cultural Institute headed up by Master Shirai 9th Dan Black Belt. For who? Karate is suitable to all from age 5 years up.
