Located at the top end of Paisley High Street, Paisley Museum , including Coats Observatory is only a short walk from Paisley Gilmour Street Station, which is just 10 minutes by regular rail service from Glasgow Central Station.

Parking

We regret there is no public parking at Paisley Museum and Coats Observatory, however blue badge holders are advised to phone the Museum in advance of their visit and staff will try to accommodate a space if possible.

On-street parking is available nearby.

Accessibility

Access to all galleries is possible through a series of lifts in the building.

Coats Observatory is only accessible through Paisley Museum (during Viewing nights, the observatory is accessed through the Oakshaw Street entrance).  As the observatory is a listed building, there are restrictions on any modifications which can be made. Level access to the observatory is available via Oakshaw Street.

Admission

Admission to Paisley Museum and Coats Observatory is free. However some temporary exhibitions may include an entry charge.

 

Renfrew Museum

Renfrew Museum is part of the Renfrew Town Hall complex, and just three miles from Paisley town centre. There are strong public transport links from Glasgow to Renfrew town centre with the nearest train station at Paisley Gilmour Street. Local bus timetables are available here.
