Job Title: Fitness Consultants (Permanent & Temporary)

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Gym Manager for the efficient day to day operation of a designated gym facility within Renfrewshire Leisure, ensuring customers have the best health and fitness experience possible. You will be expected to deliver excellent customer service and use every opportunity to interact with customers, offering advice, coaching and encouragement.
It is essential you are registered at REPS level 2 (or equivalent), have experience of working within a health and fitness environment and have a qualification in an area of health and fitness. Additionally, you must be able to communicate in a way that generates enthusiasm and commitment and be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Successful candidates must have a flexible approach regarding hours worked to suit the needs

Full time/Part Time: Full Time and Part Time
Closing Date: 13th February 2012
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Facility Duty Manager in day to day operations; maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the facility, ensuring the safety of customers and provision of a quality leisure service.
Other duties will include setting up and taking down equipment; dealing with customers and ensuring a high standard of Health & Safety throughout the facility.
It is essential candidates have a current recognised governing body sports coaching qualification in dry-side activities, a current Pool Lifeguard qualification or demonstrate the potential to attain the qualification within three months from the date of appointment. Experience within a Leisure Centre / Swimming Pool facility is also desirable as is possession of an Assistant Swimming Teacher Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
The successful candidate must be flexible regarding hours worked to suit the needs of the service.

It is essential candidates have a current recognised governing body sports coaching qualification in dry-side activities, a current NARS Pool Lifeguard qualification (or equivalent) Training towards this qualification can be provided to applicants who demonstrate the potential to qualify within three months of the date of appointment. Experience of working in an operational health and fitness environment and understanding customer needs, together with experience of
supervising or leading large operation teams is also essential. Possession of the following is desirable, a First Aid at Work Certificate, Health and Safety qualification, Pool Plant Qualification or Health and Fitness qualification.
The successful candidate must be flexible regarding hours worked to suit the needs of the service.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in The Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
