Take a test. Stop the spread.
COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Centre
Johnstone Town Hall
There will be a Covid-19 asymptomatic testing centre at Johnstone Town Hall from Wednesday 2nd to Wednesday 9th December.
It will be open from 8am to 8pm, and will operate as a drop-in service, so no need to book in advance.
The testing centre is for anyone aged over 5 who either lives or works in Johnstone. It is only for those who are asymptomatic (don’t have any symptoms of Covid-19). If you do have Covid-19 symptoms, book a test via the NHS instead.
Johnstone has been chosen due to the high number of Covid-19 cases in the town. The testing centre is being run by Renfrewshire Council and partners.
Why should I get tested?
Help stop the spread – People can have Covid-19 without feeling unwell. You could be spreading the virus to your loved ones without knowing. Getting tested can help protect everyone in our communities and places of work. It will keep older people and those who are vulnerable safe.
Help us get back to normal more quickly – Slowing the spread of the virus in the area will help us get the restrictions lifted and get our local businesses back open.
Help everyone else – The pilot will help us better understand how Covid spreads, inform future testing, and help get the country back to normal quicker.
