Update: The Scottish Government has confirmed today (Tuesday 17 November), that Renfrewshire will be moving to Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions. This means that all leisure centres, gyms and swimming pools, libraries and the heritage centre run by the charity must close to the public from 6pm on Friday. The First Minister has said that the new rules covering Renfrewshire will be in place until December 11.
Pre- booking is essential for gym, sessions, swimming and classes.
All access is via pre-booking and pre-payment only. Go to https://bookings.renfrewshireleisure.com/. Here, you can book your appointments up to seven days in advance.
Once each booking is made, you will receive a confirmation email and advice on the guidance which must be followed at our venues. While we would prefer people to book online whenever possible, those who are unable to do so can call 0300 300 0250.
Following government guidelines you are required to wear a face covering whilst walking around our facilities. However it will be your choice whether you wear a face covering whilst exercising.
Renfrewshire Leisure is a charity established to deliver sport, leisure and cultural services across Renfrewshire. That status allows us to invest in services that would never otherwise be provided for those that need them, as well as raise money from a wide range of sources to allow us to balance the books. As a non-profit organisation, all the money we raise stays in Renfrewshire and supports local services.
Keeping you and our staff safe is our number one priority. To ensure that we are operating within all guidelines on hygiene and social distancing, we are only able to offer these opening times at this time. However, we are proud to say that even though we are working towards a reduced capacity we are still providing 110 fitness classes, 4,800 fitness class slots, 4,011 swimming slots and 10,665 gym sessions across all our facilities every week.
We will obtain all necessary information at the time of booking, in line with Scottish Government guidance.
We strongly encourage all who have internet access to book online. This will ensure you receive the guidance and information you need to visit us. If you are unable to get online, you can book via telephone on 0300 300 0250. More details will follow about this shortly.
DWP have issued guidance that they are removing conditionality from benefits for the next three months so people won’t need to demonstrate their work search activity etc. For people making a claim, if they can’t do so online and can’t access the library due to closures, they can do so by phone on a free number below. Jobcentres themselves are not closing during this time so people can still attend in person if they have absolutely no alternative.
