This year is the centenary of the artist Joan Eardley (1921-1963) and Renfrewshire Leisure is marking this special event by running a dedicated programme of events. Inspired by Eardley’s example of sketching from child models in the street or in her studio, the artist Lynn Howarth will facilitate a drawing class with a clothed life model to be held in Artspace37 located in the accessible Piazza Shopping Centre, Paisley. Experience of drawing is not required as Lynn will guide you through the session.
There is socially distanced space for twelve seated attendees. Masks to be worn when moving around but can be removed when seated and the gallery has in/out ventilation. All drawing materials will be provided (quarantined) per individual, and classes are free of charge. Hand sanitiser should be used on entering and exiting Artspace37. Thank you to Outspoken Arts for hosting this event. Image is a drawing by Lynn Howarth.
The gallery has two entrance and exit doors and two fire doors. There are toilet facilities in the centre of the Piazza only (including disabled and baby change) and lifts to all floors. The car park has level access for wheelchairs from Level 1 only.
As a charity, our services help people live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives. A donation to Renfrewshire Leisure will help us continue to provide charitable services across our communities.
