This month we are celebrating 100 years of Renfrew Victory Baths, an iconic and much loved building for residents and visitors of Renfrew.
To mark the centenary, Renfrewshire Leisure’s Arts team and Leisure team have organised an exhibition, displayed around the balcony of the Baths, that tells the stories and history of the building and of the people who have used it over the past 100 years.
This exhibition will take place from 19 September to 26 September (excluding Fri 24th September)
A film about Abercrombie, the architect of the building will be screened in addition to an archive film about Renfrew life over the years.
The poet, Brian Whittingham, who is the Tannahill Makar for Renfrewshire, has also been specially commissioned to create a poem about the Baths, which will be included in the exhibition.
