On the morning of the 24 Feb 16, the snow was falling and lying crisply on the ground, Castle Semple Visitor Centre Lochwinnoch was preparing for the Annual Tartan Walk to descend upon them worrying the weather would hamper walkers travelling!
129 walkers arrived in their droves for this free event decked in tartan and in good spirits ready to sing a few Scottish songs as they walked around the village. The walk was aimed at all levels and abilities everyone was welcome and they all enjoyed the 2 mile walk and back to the Centre for a well earn cuppa and a biscuit!
The trainees from the Sports Coach Academy played an important roll on the day as they perfected their intergenerational skills by helping marshal the event and entertaining the older adults.
This event is run in partnership with Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park Rangers
Senga would like to thank all those who braved the weather to support the event
