Renfrewshire's Black History Month Cultural Programme 2021

Renfrewshire's Black History Month Cultural Programme was curated by the Ethnic Communities Cultural Steering group and made possible with the support of Future Paisley and Engage Renfrewshire.

The Ethnic Communities Cultural Steering Group work collaboratively throughout the year to, co-produce, programme, and curate work relevant to Renfrewshire’s Ethnic Community. The steering group includes partners from the following organisations; Pachedu, School of African Cultures, Inspiring Families, Jambo Radio, Action For Culture and Ethics, Kairos+, University of the West of Scotland, Engage Renfrewshirez, Sewing2gether and work in collaboration with Renfrewshire Leisure’s Cultural Services and Marketing team to bring the event to life.

This year we are pleased to offer an eclectic programme which is available on Ren TV, Jambo Radio, UWS Radio and Website and downloadable activities that you can take part in when you get the chance.

We are excited to share information with you on a new Scottish Government funded project called Pen Pals Project which will kick off this October and run for four months with a selection of partners from across Scotland – you can find out more information below and keep up to date using #PenPalRen

You can follow updates on Paisley Arts Centre social media to find out more and use #BHMRen21 to stay up to date!

Thank you to our funders and partners who make this programme possible.

Future Paisley is the radical and wide-ranging programme of events, activity and investment using the town's unique and internationally significant cultural stories to transform its future.

Engage Renfrewshire is a third sector interface (TSI); this means that we support local charities and other not-for-profit groups. Now in its 10th year Engage Renfrewshire support local organisations to be well managed, well resourced, well represented and well connected.
