We are continuing to monitor and review all relevant industry and government guidance which currently impacts in our ability to re-engage the Learn to Swim Programme at this time. We look forward to delivering our popular programme when it is safe to so.
For those of you swimming we have changing facilities, showers for pre and post-swim use and lockers available. Swimming will be via lanes in an anti-clockwise rotation.
All access is via pre-booking and pre-payment only. Please go to https://bookings.renfrewshireleisure.com/. Here, you can book your sessions up to seven days in advance. Once each booking is made, you will receive a confirmation email and advice on the guidance which must be followed at our venues. While we would prefer people to book online whenever possible, those who are unable to do so can call 0300 300 0250. To assist the NHS Test and Trace service, all visits must be recorded. Please note that reduced capacities will be in operation for each session to ensure social distancing.
To maximise your time in the pool we advise you to arrive ‘beach ready’ (swimsuits already under clothes). Showers will be available if required. Hairdryer facilities will not be available. A limited number of family cubicles will be available. Visitors are asked not to congregate in the building, changing areas or car parks. Swimmers should leave the facility soon after their swim, using the identified route.
Please do not arrive too early for your session so we can keep the number of people within the facility to a minimum. Arrive 10-15 minutes before your session starts. In-pool sessions will be 45 minutes.
Prior to booking, check the opening times for the facility you wish to visit – the opening hours may have changed. - The On-X main, teaching and leisure pools is in operation. The Lagoon main and teaching pool is open. No water features will be in operation at each of these facilities. - Erskine Pool - lane swimming in operation (leisure pace, medium pace and training pace will be in place) - Family swims will be available at On-X and Lagoon. Renfrew victory Baths is all open with extended hours. These should be booked online to avoid disappointment.
You are welcome to bring small toys designed for pool fun, but no inflatables. Toys will not be available at our facilities. Please ensure you pack swim nappies for any child who needs them (there are limited numbers of these currently available for sale within our facilities).
To ensure everyone enjoys the session, please ensure that you keep your distance in the pool and maintain social distancing at all times. Prior to booking, familiarise yourself with our adult / child supervision ratios to avoid any disappointment upon arrival.
Johnstone Pool is currently closed for repair, but we are pleased to confirm we have now appointed a contractor to finish the refurbishment work and we expect the pool to be back open later this summer.
Unfortunately we don't have any plans at the moment to introduce Aqua-fit on the current timetable, but we are hoping to do so in a future timetable once restrictions ease and pool capacities increase.
As a charity, our services help people live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives. A donation to Renfrewshire Leisure will help us continue to provide charitable services across our communities.
