Renfrewshire Leisure's October activity camps are here!

Brought to you by Active Schools Renfrewshire, the camps will be full of a mixture of fun indoor sporting activities, arts & crafts, games, and so much more.

Running across the October holidays at Johnstone Community Sports Hub, Lagoon Leisure Centre, and On-X Linwood.

Camps available are:

Camp at On-X Linwood

11th to 15th October, 10am-3pm, for P1-P7

Multi-activity camps which will feature sessions in various sports including archery, bushcraft, orienteering, dodgeball, rounders, and many more sports and fun activities.

Early drop off (8am) and late pick up (5:30pm) available.



Football camp at Johnstone Community Sports Hub

11th to 15th October, 10am-3pm, for P1-P7

Working in partnership with the SFA, Renfrewshire Leisure Sports Services are running football camps which are suitable for young footballers as well as more experienced players who wish to work toward our elite player development programme. Designed by experienced SFA coaches, in line with the National Player Pathway, the camps aim to improve participants skill level, teamwork, fitness & communication. Players will improve through a combination of coaching, skills challenges and small-sided games, all based around enjoyment and having fun.  





Dance & Movement camp at Johnstone Community Sports Club

11th - 15th October, 10am-3pm, for P1-P7

A variety of styles varying from street dance, disco, cheer, lyrical, ballet jazz etc the sessions will be delivered by experienced dance coaches in the form or fun games, activities and routines. Movement will range from stretching, conditioning, floor and vault skills. General skills will be based around rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round off, bridges, walk over and progressions. Each skill set will be taught by UKCC level 1 and 2 trained coaches and will be taught at the ability of the participants.

Active Families Disability Sport and Activity Club 

Wednesday 13th October at 3:15-4:15pm and 4:15-5:15pm, On-X Linwood for P1-P7

Thursday 14th October at 4:30-5:30pm, Lagoon Leisure Centre for S1-S6

Attendees will be able to take part in a club where two bouncy castles will be on offer, as well as the opportunity to take part in sports/activities led by qualified coaches. This will include: Boccia/Archery/Football/Basketball/Frisbee Golf. This family club is available to any family with a young person with a disability and/or sensory impairment (siblings welcome). A parent/guardian must stay with the participant for the duration of the club, but they are actively encouraged to take part! When a rest is required soft drinks and snacks will be available for all. This hour long club allows all the family to take part in fun activities locally in Renfrewshire.

How do I get a discount for additional children or families on income support?

To get the discount, please book your space online and pay in full. Once booked, email with proof of Universal Credit (if required). They will then process the discount as a refund to your payment method. If you have any problems or are not able to book and pay in fully initially, then please contact the email address first. Siblings will automatically receive a discount at checkout.

Who delivers the camps?

This year camps will be delivered by Renfrewshire Active Schools and their qualified team of coaches.

What Covid-19 guidance is being followed?

Coaches will be following national governing body guidance in order to deliver the camps and this will be followed for all sports. All activities will be risk assessed prior to the start of the camps. The facilities also have Covid-19 procedures in place to create a safe environment including hand sanitiser stations.

What activities will be on offer?

A mixture of fun indoor sporting activities, arts & crafts, games, and so much more will be delivered.

Is lunch provided?

Lunch is not provided by Renfrewshire Leisure. All participants should bring a packed lunch, snacks and enough water for a full day of activities.

Can participants refill water bottles?

Coaches will be on hand to refill bottles if required.
